Cutting board with a handle. The dimensions are 12" x 16". This is made of walnut for the dark 2 edges and the wide oak board. The wood is jointed and planned to 3/4" thickness. Boards are glued together and the walnut strips are doweled on the edges for a decorative look and for added strength to the glue joints. Once glue has dried the cutting board is cut down to final dimensions, the edges are routered with a round over bit and it is sanded smooth. This cutting board is finished with Howards cutting board oil, this is available at the common home centers and is a food safe mineral oil.
